The new Food Institute will study issues of food safety and the development of new food products. It will evaluate farm and ranch technology with a view toward improving overall food quality, taste and nutritional value.
The existing Institute of Viticulture and Enology will marshal the resources of our internationally acclaimed program to better serve the industry. The Institute will focus on all aspects of wine, table grapes and raisins in Central California and will serve the entire California wine industry as a place where “real-life” learning about winemaking occurs.
The International Center for Water Technology will build on the university’s pioneering work in irrigation and water systems. It will expand its collaborative ventures between Fresno State and the world’s 30 major manufacturers of water technology.
