Dr. George Vozikis

Edward Reighard Chair of Management
Director, Institute for Family Business

With a commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship and help family businesses take root and prosper, Dr. George Vozikis has enthusiastically embraced his role in the Craig School of Business.

Since 2006, Vozikis has been director of the Institute for Family Business. He's also the Edward Reighard Chair of Management, one of numerous endowed chairs at Fresno State established through gifts from private sources.

The goal of the Institute is to preserve family business heritage by providing a forum for exchanging ideas and research findings, attending academic courses and gaining information about business and personal issues that are unique to family businesses.

As the Reighard Chair, Vozikis teaches entrepreneurship and conducts research.  As a director, Vozikis oversees an institute that teams the business school with chamber of commerce officials and other community members to bolster family businesses.

The bustling schedule includes meetings, seminars and networking as well as opportunities for business owners to seek advice and suggestions for assistance, which Vozikis describes as "extremely valuable."

It is tireless, important work. But Vozikis obviously enjoys the challenge: "If it ain't fun, it ain't worth it, and it is a lot of fun!"
