Barbara Shinaver

Barbara Shinaver is tackling a double major in music composition and molecular biology. She has her hands full and high expectations in the future. 

“Fresno State is a wonderful academic institution which I am so proud to be a part of now,” Barbara said.  "The level of academic classes fulfills the need I have to challenge myself and I am being taught by high-quality professors."

Shinaver balances a full schedule between class, marching band, the Bulldog Beat, wind orchestra and jazz ensemble.  She has many dreams for her future which include becoming a studio musician, a film composer or scientific researcher.

“Donating to fund scholarships for Fresno State is an excellent way to provide for a better future in our society, and to guarantee the continued pursuit of excellence by these students in any aspect of life,” said Shinaver.  "The level of academic classes fulfills the need I have to challenge myself and I am being taught by high-quality professors."
