Tyler Havner

Tyler Havner is an electrical engineering major with an excellent GPA.  This is in part because he doesn’t need to focus his energy on working full-time to pay for his education.  Because of scholarships, he has been able to join clubs on campus, volunteer for the Reading and Beyond program and become involved in other activities.

He believes that Fresno State is in the hearts of so many here in the valley and is grateful that he is able to get an excellent education while remaining close to his family.

“Fresno State is giving me a phenomenal education,” Havner said.  “I was overcome with joy and honored to be selected for a scholarship. I would like to sincerely thank donors for their support of higher education.  Their continued generosity, while so many others have turned to frugality, is what gives us the resolve to persevere through these hardships."
