Melissa Freeman has her plate full: double majoring in Business Administration and Linguistics, attaining a minor in Japanese, and pursuing two additional certificates.
She completed the Craig School of Business Honors Program in May, 2009 and is now in her second year as a Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program Scholar. She was a Fresno State cheerleader for two years and earned the Community Service Scholarship from the Fresno State Career Center.
Freeman wants the community to realize that there are many gifted individuals who are not able to complete their bachelor’s education because of the expense, and when those students slip away from school, the community as a whole loses out.
“By supporting students with even just a portion of tuition, donors are telling us to not give up and that they want us to succeed,” said Freeman. "I admire the generosity of donors and hope to be able to give back to the community in the way they have. One day soon I hope to help students achieve their goals the way I have been helped."
