Planned Giving

A planned gift may appeal to you as a personal way to make a difference in Fresno State students' lives. Planned giving allows as much flexibility as you may desire or as much commitment and income tax savings as you need.

A simple beneficiary designation in your will, living trust, life insurance, annuity or retirement plan can secure your gift and is revocable should your needs change.

For income tax savings and an income for you and others, a California State University, Fresno Foundation Charitable Gift Annuity, Pooled Income Fund or charitable remainder trust may be appropriate.

A charitable lead trust providing income to Fresno State with the trust assets later returned to the family can be used for estate tax reduction.

Real estate may be bequeathed, given outright, or gifted with a life estate allowing you to live in your home or on your farm while enjoying a current income tax deduction.

Planned giving provides a great opportunity to make a difference in Fresno State students’ lives. We are happy to assist you with any questions you may have.

why give

“For Cheryl and I, the arts have always been an important part of our giving. This was a great opportunity to showcase the university's facility and the talent of the students.”
