Why Support Fresno State?
The Campaign for Fresno State supports the overall academic excellence of the university by raising new funds to further faculty research and build academic programs and facilities to provide greater learning opportunities for our students.
Can I choose what college or program I wish to support?
Yes! Your contribution can be earmarked to support any campus, college, or program within the university.
Are gifts to the university tax deductible?
Gifts to Fresno State are tax deductible as provided by law. Fresno State is certified as a qualified charitable organization and meets the requirements of the Internal Revenue Service within the code sections 501(c)(3). Consult your tax advisor regarding the exact deductibility of gifts to the university.
How do I know if the university has received my gift?
Once a gift has been received and deposited, a formal receipt will be mailed to you. The receipt will detail the amount, date received, and designation of your gift. If you have recently made a donation and have not received a receipt, please call 559.278.4036.
Do employers match gifts to the University?
Many employers have matching gift programs. An employee should check with his or her company's personnel office to (1) find out if the company matches gifts to educational institutions, and (2) obtain the company's matching gift form.
Can I safely make a pledge or gift online?
Online gifts are immediate and secure. Fresno State utilizes SSL (Secure Sockets Layers) for online transactions. With SSL, the information you supply is encrypted before being sent to our server. This protects your information from unauthorized viewing while being transported across the Internet.

How are donors recognized?
Donors are recognized through the University's Stewardship office. They are listed annually in the Honor Roll of Donors and through recognition in several Giving Societies.
What if I don't want to be publicly recognized for my gift?
Fresno State respects the wishes of those donors who prefer to give without recognition. At your request, we will keep your donation anonymous.
