More than 1,300 faculty educate more than 22,000 students annually in our classrooms, labs and other venues. Many of these faculty members also undertake challenging but rewarding research activities and special projects that better our region, state or world. The university is leading the region to a new economy that practices smart growth, and preserves precious resources and encourages and nurtures new businesses.
Fresno State specializes in aligning our resources with the needs of the Valley. Focusing research on local issues strengthens the region, and often has worldwide impact.
